UI patterns

Guidepost was checked against the in-app guidance patterns documented by eight commercial digital adoption platforms and six open-source tour libraries. The full audit, with a row per pattern, is docs/UI-COVERAGE.md in the repository.

Counts

Main catalogue, 84 patterns (audit dated 2026-10-05):

Status Count Meaning
Supported 66 The schema field exists, the player reads it and a component draws it
Partial 13 Works with a verified limitation
Missing 5 Not in the code. Rows 50 and 59 are planned for step two
Renderer-only 0

The audit also lists 7 host conditions (shadow DOM, transforms, host dialogs and similar) and 4 items from the original brief that no vendor documents. Surveys and NPS are not built.

The audit's last full end-to-end run was 323 tests passed, none skipped, in headless Chromium. Edge has not been run.

These 20 screenshots are produced by e2e/specs/showcase.spec.ts against the ui-lab fixture page and copied into the site at build time.

Gotchas

  • The audit dates from 2026-10-05. Treat the repository file as the source and this page as a summary.
  • Renderer unit tests run in jsdom, so layout claims in the audit rest on the Playwright suite.
